Kids speak a different "language" than adults and perceive the world from a unique perspective. We can only truly understand them by entering their realms.
Your kid may face these…
-
Life Transitions
It can involve unexpected changes such as parental separation, family loss, relocation to new places, or developmental challenges like separation, socialization or transitioning to a new grade. It takes tremendous courage to navigate these changes, grieving losses while embracing the new. Your child may feel confused and immobilized during these moments. Therapy can provide a safe space for them to explore and make sense of what happened.
-
Anxiety and Stress
Compared to adults, anxiety can manifest differently in children, such as fear of sleeping alone, frequent urination, stomach issues, avoiding strangers, fidgeting, or emotional breakdowns. All these can be signs of anxiety. The aim of therapy will be to help your child develop a sense of safety, understand their anxiety, learn coping skills, and make positive changes in their lives.

Behavioral Issues
"Acting out" is often how kids express that "something is wrong." My role is to help your child and you, as a parent, understand the messages behind those behaviors and facilitate healthy methods of self-expression and communication. Being a parent of children with behavioral issues can be challenging. Parent sessions are also provided in addition to therapy sessions with your child.

Social Difficulties
Socialization can pose significant challenges in a child's life. Kids grappling with low self-esteem may harbor uncertainties about themselves, questioning their abilities, and fearing rejection or exclusion from social groups. If you observe your child experiencing these difficulties, therapy can offer a supportive environment for them to build confidence and develop essential social skills.
